One of the campaigns that we have handled ourselves. The initiative needed visibility and funding for the launch and everyday running of a war photography museum with a socially responsible component.
The idea was to raise funds to run a museum of unusual themes for Croatia. To spread the word about the museum itself, and to avoid negative connotations on the theme of war. By launching the Image of a war crowdfunding campaign in the spring of 2018, the goal was to create a place that, through dialogue, would achieve dialogue and educate people about the devastating consequences of war and the importance of maintaining peace for society as a whole. The Brodoto team led the entire crowdfunding, PR, and marketing campaign and designed the museum’s visual identity. The campaign resonated across Croatia. The news of the opening was published in many print and electronic media. We count over 50 media outlets with success in avoiding crisis PR due to the sensitivity of the topic. Besides this, Brodoto successfully contributed to the Ministry of Culture’s competition with additional funding from the Ministry of Culture to start the business. Cooperation continued throughout 2019 and 2020, as part of which we launched two campaigns to increase the number of visitors to the museum and organise a series of themed events. To date, Image of War has been the best-rated museum in Zagreb by TripAdvisor.
